Research published in the Research in Physical Education & Sports (2003) Electronic Journal. The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation among specific factors (weight, obesity, gender, parents, choice of sport, regular exercise and reasons for interrupting exercise) affecting participation of children aged 7-12 in extra-curricular sports.
