Published research in the Scientific Journal of Acta Kinesiologiae. Some of epidemiological studies have focused on taekwondo injuries in general, while others have highlighted specific areas of concern, such as time-loss injuries in young and adult taekwondo athletes as well as cerebral concussions. No studies were found investigating the relationship between number of matches and injury occurrence in martial arts in general and taekwondo in particular. The purpose of this study, was to assess taekwondo competition injuries as a function of number of matches fought.
